Does anybody know how hwy 49 boat ramp is? Heard they were pouring new concrete. Last year I almost ripped my trailer axle off. Thank for any info.

That landing is about 3 miles further up the river.It is on Bringle Ferry Road. He is asking about the highway 49 landing. I myself have not tried 49 since they worked on the ramp.

Haven't used the ramps but the work is complete. Bass tournaments have been blasting off all winter from there.

If you use the landing behind the High Rock dam, the water is filled with rocks and requires careful navigation. Below the landing lies a underwater ridge of rocks from one side to the other which is very dangerous to props. You also have to beware of the water flow if you dare go below this ridge of rocks because if Alcoa cuts the water flow thru the dam the water will drop fairly quick and you might be unable to return upstream to the landing. Be careful.
