    Default Hey Monk

I was wondering which type of poles you'd recommend for long lining ? currently I'm using wally marshal's and breaking them right and left. Would like to buy some that will hold up to the abuse I put them through, and not break when snagged on structure in deep water.
    Thanks,

Anytime that you hang a snag point the rod tip straight at the snag and grab your bell on your reel and pull straight back. The line will break and not your rod.

All poles will break when abused. Use Shimano IX reels with rear drag. The rear drag allows easy loosening to allow line to spool off to prevent breaking of the pole.
