Yep. Never noticed that before. It used to always come up in feet, and it didn't change the URL when I zoomed and recentered. It is much more useful with that in the URL. I bought the Android maps. The app is free, but you have to pay $10/year (sort of; read on) for inland US maps (USCG maps are free for coast). You can cache maps so that you don't have to be connected and you can keep the cached maps indefinitely. So if you stay in the same area for a while, you just make sure to cache all the local maps before your year is up and you will be fine until you need others. There is some trick to moving them if you switch phones (though if you are still in your year it is simple). You can track with the GPS also; pretty cool app.
BTW, if I were going to bank fish at Jordan, one place you might find me is Robeson Creek:

there is a trail of sorts along the bank from the ramp toward the main lake and you don't have to go too far before there is reasonably deep water near shore.
Welcome to crappie.com from Rockwell nc.
I'm going back out tomorrow. Going to try under the bridge on 751. Can anyone suggest a color jig to try? Also are you tipping the jigs with minnows and a curly tail body or just the body?
The map link on the first page shows 20+ feet deep... Is that shallow? Lol.
For the record, no need for your "all due respect". It takes a lot to offend me. :) advice when asking for it is respectful as I see it.
