Gonna give the Black a shot this weekend. Anyone like to tag along or bring your own boat and just fish near each other and see what we do? I always come home with a mess!

FF, you definitely will need to find a cove in there. I'm guessing that water is going to be running a 100mph. We've had a lot of rain up our way, and even more further upstream Good luck if you go, and stay safe.

I always fish in the coves and believe it or not I've actually done better when the water was high. If it's high enough I'm gonna try to get to Long Lake. When the water's low there's just too many fallen trees in that skinny, winding stretch of the river before you get there. But I'm hitting Wilson's cove and Kelley cove for sure. Got two more Christmas trees to sink, too. Next time you go to the Black, p.m. me and I'll tell you exactly where I put the trees.
