Smile Bank and pier fishing at Kerr Lake Reservoir, NC side

Hello, Crappie Folks. I've never fished at Kerr Lake, though I've fished a lot of other reservoirs. I don't have a boat, so I have to fish from the bank or on a pier. Can anyone give me some info about places to fish -- no, don't reveal your honey holes -- where I can get started, so I don't have to spend all day wandering around trying to get to some areas with potential? Thanks. I'm a senior citizen, too, so though I'm strong and healthy I can't walk a bunch of miles carrying all my equipment to get to a remote place. I'm coming from NC.

Nutbush ramp #2 has a nice fishin peir with a parkin lot. I've seen guys catch crappie off this peir while fishin in the area. also the causeway at Flat creek gets a lot of pressure later in the Spring, its rite up the road from Nutbush. Most any of the boat ramps around the lake will have bank access, an some of the camp grounds have fishin peirs. I'd get a GMOC map that shows ramps, roads an other possible access points. Or you could hire a good guide, like me!

Thanks, Fishdoc. I've looked at maps online. You made it easier.

Do not no which way you are coming from, but after you cross over Butchers bridge on 58 going towards Clarksville take the next state road to your left go 2 or 3 miles , there will be a parking lot on your left, water is on both sides of road , fish the left side in front of the big pipe,b.p. in middle about 50 foot in middle of that cove, hope this helps , if I remember more places I will let you no.
