someone please explain to me why anyone who is such a good fisherman and sportsman would even come to such a forum as this without seeking some kind of advice or help? Is it just to stir the pot? I would like to think not. most of ALL the CDC folks have met are great folks. when I first moved here I was frustrated because my techniques from my home state didn't work. CDC put me on fish. I am happy to share what little I know with whomever needs or wants help. If you think that is wrong then maybe I am incorrect about what CDC stands for.

have to agree with chief on this one would like to see the really big toads next spring state says you can keep 20 per day if you want to practice catch and release thats ok do that most of the time but i do keep some also as for harris it was on the same level as jordon if not better fished that lake a lot caught several very large fish over the years 2013 the lake got slammed have only fished it a couple times this year fish were either big or just small the state is not going to do any limits talked to them the last time i was there they told me the lake was in good shape i guess they think eight inch fish are fine as far as jordon well lets hope we have a mild winter and the shad do ok

Lots of 8" fish mean lots of larger fish later too unless food is a limiting factor. Looking at the depthfinder when I've been at Harris there is plenty of bait.

I have fished Harris much more than Jordan. Jordan had a fish kill and Harris picked up a lot of Jordan crappie fishermen. I feel that in the past three years Harris has been overfished and no one cares because it is a "BASS LAKE". I have nothing against bass fishermen but they don't want the crappie eating the shad. It will be hard fight to get limits on crappie in Harris. Politics is money and bass fishermen spend a lot more money than crappie fisherman as a general rule. I think the pressure will decrease on Harris now that Jordan is improving. My 2 cents.

Mod should lock this thread up, it's officially hijacked. Sorry BR, but great pics and report. Sucks about your thread going awry.
