    Thumbs up JORDAN 12/12

Got a late start this morning, 9 am before I wet a hook. There were so many crappie.com folks I couldn't get near any pylons so I had to troll out in the middle of the channel. Under the bridge though. I had a limit at 11:30! Nice fish too. This one is a 14 and 3/4 inch slab of the 20 I caught. I met and seen some fine folks today.

Great report Banjo. Are you pulling jigs or minnows?

Minnows, but I was looking at 2 other boats pulling jigs doing just as well. :-)

People who fish in a crowd need to learn to fish like Banjo. One short rod, vertical presentation, always looking out for other boats, never moves in on someone else catching fish. I don't understand the people with 4-8 rods, 12-16' long and spreading out all over the place. Or tied up and throwing slip bobbers all over the place. Or tied on one side of a pier and trying to fish the other side. I just call it etiquette- there are plenty of fish for everyone and one or two rods will get you more fish than you can keep in a couple of hours. So try to be considerate of other people. BAH, Humbug!

Nice fish. 20 of those around here and you'd be the talk of the town!

Chief, how gracious of you and what a compliment, thanks so much! Some of that is common sense which not all folks have. :-( The other part is called manners, which if you didn't learn in my folks house you got an a$$ whoopin! :-)
And when the fish are biting 1 rod is all you need!

Good going Banjo. We heard they were only catching small ones at the bridge. You're proof the big ones are up there. Two of my Father's best friends are headed that way tomorrow.

Well I never have fished up there before but definitely been wanting to try it. Ive only fished in the creeks and rivers here in the Eastern part of the state. I hear creeks and rivers are completely different to fish than lakes are. BUT you guys got me scared to come....lol I usually spider rig with minnows or do long lining with 8 poles for minnows and 11 poles when long lining. I don't keep over my limit I just enjoy my spread. ive learned alot by long lining using different methods, baits, depths . Ive never really looked at it as being greedy or trying to take more than my share. With limits in place I guess I just get done faster....lol . we have a 20 fish limit here. With a min 8 inch and 10 inch size limits in certain places. If you guys see me , please dont sink my boat .lol . I plan to come and try my luck maybe in the spring and I need all the help that I can get if I go to a lake. If you guys see me out there ill be in a 21' Carolina Skiff DLV Elite. My name is J.C. Good Luck fishing and I hope yall catch some big ones!! Hope to see yall in the spring. Thanks J.C.

that is what crappie.com is for, to share with those who can't find fish. there is plenty to go around Rdrunner. JC, you will have no problems spider rigging the bridge area, plenty room and plenty fish.
