Minnows by the Pound near James

Does anyone know where I could get a pound of minnows close to Marion? I don't use them often but I like to keep a few on hand this time of year and I hate shopping at that store at the end of Hankins Rd. Thanks

There is a store on hwy. 70 , called Cherokee that sells minnows. He may be closed at this time in the afternoon , however , I may be incorrect. He has the minnows in a fishtank , and when I stopped back in July , the tank was full. I believe they are small minnows , but I think he has larger ones. The store is at the corner of Kathy Road , and hwy.70. Coming from Marion , you would cross the bridge past Benfield's Landing road , and the store will be on the right.

Give Piedmont Bait and Tackle [(704) 735=4416] a call. They're the guys that the bait shops buy bait from. They can tell you who has bait in your area.

Thanks!! I'll be giving them a call myself , after spending $3 for a dozen at a store on 273 , anything would be better. I'll have to get a larger bucket , but it will be worth the expense in the long run.
