Not many people know about this fishery. Hope I'm not feeding the lurkers. But next weekend I'm giving the crappie a break and borrowing my bosses boat to go troll up some yellow perch in, well, a lake in Bladen County. If you don't know where I'm talking about p.m. me. But theres a lake out there with an actual perch fishery that produces (some days) catches of some really nice yellows with plenty over a pound. You gotta pick through a lot of little ones, but the big ones are there. We usually troll little perch colored cranks, but tight lining works just as well. If you don't know this fishery its a cool winter/spring thing to do.
