    Default Jordan Slab

I haven't had the opportunity to crappie fish with my stepson Jonathan the past few years and we were able to go this afternoon. As you can see, he caught a nice Jordan slab--14.5" and a very solid fish. I was amazed at the amount of fat that was in this crappie when I filleted it. I have one of those green plastic things you measure crappie in--not this one!! It was way too thick to slide down in it. Color was definitely Acid rain today.

I've found some nice fish the past week and every one was very healthy. Even the undersize ones have those thick shoulders on them. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come on Jordan.
