Hey guys its been a long time since I posted, life always gets in the way lol...I had an unexpected day off yesterday and took advantage of it!!!!! My goal was to just wet a line at my secret honey hole from the bank, but once I arived I was pleasantly suprised to find the "old goat" a john boat about 30yrs old that has more hole than swiss..I flipped her over and dangit no oar's paddles nothing,so what to do---Find a nice tree branch and off I went...We use just the basics on this pond, grub(white) and jig head and thats all you'll ever need..I tried all the usuall productive spots and nothing besides the rouge bass and brim,so after the 3rd beer I said screw it im heading deep..I made it to the Dam side wher the water is the deepest and it was on fire every cast/drop..What I did notice is the Crappie in this pond were lazy, they wouldnt chase the lure they wqnted it on their table. What I did was cast mybe 4-5ft away from me and let jig hit bottom and thats it,Id give it a min or so and take slack out of line and boom crappie on...The water has cooled big time and good things should be happening!!!!..Anyway sorry for the long winded report--here's few pics...Chris
