    Default Lake Hickory 9/27-9/28

Just could not pass up a beautiful afternoon of fishing after having to work on a Sat morning. Got on the water around 4pm fished till 7pm around some docks with 10-15 fow and water temps around 74 deg. Managed to get 4 nice slabs and a few small ones. Went back Sun morn to pick up where I left off and to see if the slabs were still biting, and they were Caught 6 more nice ones with an average of 12" each, they are starting to move up to feed, but not have stacked up in bunches yet!! I love the fall fishing, cool weather, calm waters and big fish
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners

Good job spot. The next few weeks will make a big difference in the water temp,I went last week and got 5 nice ones but the small catfish wouldn't leave my bait alone
