    Default Jordan 9/16/14

Great day on the water. For the first 1.5 hours did not see another boat. Now I know why! No one is fishing.

We did not catch the first crappie. Fished 22 poles with an assortment of baits and only had (2) bites. Could not "mark" any shad or fish on the depth finder above the 64 bridge. Nothing in Beaver Creeks. Finally found 3 or 4 schools of shad in the "s" turns; however, no larger fish. The biggest concentration of shad was in Parker Creek in
14 to 18 feet of water; however, no larger fish. In (6) hours of "searching", we only put the poles in the water (2) times.

    Water temp was 82 degrees.

Been goin to Wylie since High Rock got wiped out a couple years ago. There are some nice crappie in Wylie I highly reccomend it; we went down with 6 other boats the other Friday and caught over 500 nice fish in a couple days. Great lake

Most all the South Carolina lakes produce good Crappie. The SC Wildlife Department has good programs for hunting and fresh and salt water fishing. I have fish there since 1961.
