    Default Norman/Kerr Scott

I dropped lights at Norman last night and caught around 12 keepers. Stopped at midnight and went to Kerr Scott early am. Only caught 4 keepers by 10:30 am. But, I did see something very interesting to me. I saw several big nice bass boats and never saw one reel anything in. Two teenagers came by with one on the back pulling something and going fast enough to make waves. (they were not idling) Within about 45 minutes I watched them catch 3 nice bass and throw them back. I have never seen it done this way but it worked for them. It would be kinda funny to see them show up at the next bass tournament and win it on a JET SKI. Have you ever seen anyone troll on a small jet ski?

No! But I know a guy that used to crappie fish on a wave runner and would do pretty good.

I've seen jet ski's set up for fishing at the coast but not around here.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I was fishing in the Stumpy Creek area. I guess what was so interesting with the boys trolling off the back of a jet ski was how fast they were going and catching several fish. The boy on the back said he had broke his rod and was just letting out line so he could keep fishing. It is refreshing to see young people fishing instead of running circles around me with a jet ski while I'm fishing

Trolling crankbaits...... Burn baby burn. I've been fishing slow and not catch anything and then pick it up as fast as I can reel it and BOMB. Its difficult to hook up running that speed. You'll get a lot of short strikes.... It helps to add a longer trailing treble hook. Never done it from a jet ski but the principle is the same. I generally don't like to do it. The cranks pull so hard at that speed.... you can break a rod... and its difficult to get the other rods in unless you stop.
