Default capt k's carolina adventures on jordan today

well i got a guy that wanted to learn a bit about longlining so we planned a day and settled on a time and was blessed with some cloud cover for most of the morning. we fished from 6 to 2 and he took 16 good eating size crappie home along with 2 unusually large perch, i am sure if he had wanted to stay we could have gotten those last 4 to round out his limit but why push it, right. water temp rose up to 85* and was about as clean as jordan gets. i don't think i have ever answered so many questions in one day but i do like to teach as well as have a good time catching, and catch we did, not sure of the total count, we weeded through a bunch, but you can tell a guy has a good time when he gets ready to leave and asks when can we do it again. if anyone else wants to learn a bit about longlining or reading a fish finder or just likes catching crappie shoot me a pm, it gets so hot by lunch now i have reduced my rates accordingly and will work with you as i'm trying to raise a dollar to ride out to mississipi in sept.

Thanks for the report. I wish one of you guys in the know would make a short ( or Long!) video decribing your methods. I have tried long lining at different speeds and just have no luck ( fishing Jordan). It just aint right, I tell ya!

Nothing beats hands on but i think there are utube videos of folks doing it though they are not very informative. Give a man a fish and he has a fish, teach a man to fish and well u know.

Sure my other post it was from Monday, but with the water dropping the fish have moved out a bit deeper but still suspended fairly high in the water column and they are very very scattered that's why longlining now is so productive.
