Lake Hickory 6/8

It was a good day to be on the lake, the early rain shower kept a lot of those pesky wake makers and green carp fisherman at home for a while. It also was not just a good day to fish but a good day for catchin some good ole slabs even thru the rain showers! Yep, I was workin the docks (deep water) 15-25 fow and they had some brush around them. Water temp 80 deg and clear. Color today was still in the blue category, and the fish were holding near the bottom out from the docks not up under them with cloud cover most of the day. Total catch was 25, and kept 20 with an average 10" average with some bigger close to 13" to fillet and take to my fishing buddies down at the coast next weekend. They love to have some good ole fresh water crappie when they can get em so I am more than happy to take em some when I can!! Gonna take the boat and try and see if I can find a flounder, drum or sheephead while there for a week of vacation and .
