Lake Hickory 5/31

Went crappie fishing Sat. morning early with my good friend blugrasmaniac. Started off trolling the main channel above lovelady access and didn't find anything but a school of small 10 to 12 inch stripers. Worked banks of the main channel with nothing else to show for it but a nice 6 or 7 lb channel cat. Fun watching him catch it on the 10 ft rod. Moved into Gunpowder and trolled, jigged the bridge and shot some docks. Picked up a few of crappie. Atleast we learned what not to do. Overall it was a fun day on the water. Called it quits about 2:30. Hope to be back out on the water in a few weeks and try it again.
