    Default Jordan Lake white perch?

I'm planning on spending the day at Jordan this weekend with a good buddy. We plan to target crappie but I would also like to put him on some white perch considering I keep talking about how fun they are to catch and how good they are on the plate. Every time I've gone out with him targeting perch we never seem to find any! So, what water depths and patterns are the perch working this time of year?

I've only caught a couple of perch so far this year. I caught one small one last Saturday, but it was no eating size. Maybe some of the other guys have caught some perch this year.

I can say that the ENO and Flat river that feeds Falls lake was full of them a week ago. I assume they are in the river spawning. Hope that helps.

I have found the perch to be notorious bait stealers. I thought I would try a small circle hook for crappie, but I caught perch. If I was going after them, I'd try a circle hook and a night crawler. The yellow perch are similar - bait stealer nibblers and never any size. I wish they would get larger . I hear they are good to eat.

White Perch and Yellow Perch are both very good table fare.....and on the days that the crappie are a bit slow i target whities. Last week we caught a bunch of them on Mtn Island while trying for other fish species and they were hitting small minnows or red worms drop shot rigged. We caught them in the mouth of a cove in about 16 ft of water....and with a few of the smaller ones i cut up for a big cat or two as well. So i would assume Jordan would be just about the same as Mtn Island. Hope this helps ya in your search.

I found a school on Falls lake Yesterday. They were hitting Anything. I probably could have put a rubber-band on a hook and caught some.

You can catch them 4 or 5 at the time on sabiki rigs if You can catch a school of them. They are fun to catch for sure.CF
