    Default Monster Lake Norman Hybrid

well, monster considering.....striper are still biting. the numbers are dropping off, but still lots of good fish. I think this heavy upcoming rain will actually fire them off and turn the bite on for a few days after!!

a Tank of Herring will do it every time

Lake Norman, Badin, Wateree, High Rock.

Is there a bait store around the area that sells them or you have to go net them?

Caught him freelining on 6lb line on my trusty DUKE BLUE rod

And im not sure of a local "reliable" shop nearby that sells them. I net my own. Both herring and gizzard shad.

Excellent fish!! I imagine that fish had been gorging for years. I know Midway sold live herring/shad a few years ago , but I don't know about now. There was a guy near Mountain Creek that sold live shad , he may still have them. You have to find him on the catfish association.

Midway marina (now lake effects) sells them both shad and herring. You are better off netting them tho because its quite esxpensive..when you can get them for free.
