Just picked up the latest issue of nc sportsman and there was hardly any crappie articles and the guides that they ask to give there lake reports pretty much said that the crappie are going to be post spawn patterns for late april/ early may... I feel that it might be a little different this year... But hey I'm no expert.. what do you guys think

I agree, NC sportsman definitely sucked this month as far as crappie fishing goes, they use to have at least some decent forecast from the guys running the bait stores. I read those lake forecast and was disappointed, I mean I could have written those articles, very, very vague. Last year on the forecast for Lake Tillery, the bait shop owner said, "You can find the crappie up in the bushes". Went that first week of May, guess where they were, in the bushes. But you cant please everyone, and I guess I expected too much for this month.

it will be all over in a week or so for the fisherman that only fish the spown better learn how to fish postspown'
