On the water at daylight, fished the major creeks. Trolling 1/8 and 1/16 ounce jigs. Had seven keepers before 8:00 AM. Most of the fish were caught on 1/8 ounce jigs. Fish were still a bit deeper than what I expected. Wind pushed me out by noon on the 11th, 17 keepers, largest fish 1 3/4 lb. Hit the banks but only managed two fish.
Got out a bit later on the 12, on the water around 8:00 AM. Fished the creeks again, used only 1/8 jigs. Ended up with 10 keepers. The difference in the day was the time we got on the water. Get out early before the wind and sun gets up. Found water temps yesterday 62 degrees. It won't be long.
