High Rock 4/14/14 Major creeks

Fished the major creeks today starting 8:45 am till 2:00 pm. water was dingy, 60*/65* , sky was overcast with a wind that caused choppy water.BP was 30.2/30.4 . I ended up with 3 cat and one crappie. At the state landing offered them to a man and his wife. He picked up his bucket and came to my boat to get them, when he took the top off his bucket their was a 5 gal bucket packed full of crappies that he and is wife had caught with a $3.00 cane poles fishing from the bank using only minnows. I would not try to guess how much I have in vested in fishing but I'm sure it's a lot more than $6.00. And on Top of it they were so nice you would thought that I had really gave them a big gift or something, they were just super nice! The bait was minnows for the day,

Like my grandpa always said. Get a boat you cast to the bank don't have a boat cast as far as you can from the bank. Lol
