You might try the beaver dam area of falls lake. You can go into the park off Hwy 50 or try the back side off Old Weaver Rd. There are some biggins in there...
Good luck.

Hey guys, name's Ian. New to crappie everything, and fairly new to fishing in general. This forum has been a really great resource for finding definitive information about crappie as well as fishing in general.
I stay out by lake michie during most of the week, and on the weekends I hang out near falls lake, so I'm very interested in advice in regards to those two bodies of water. I don't own a boat, so I'm looking mostly to bank fish. Some days I'd like to rent a row boat or canoe, but mostly I gotta stick to the banks for now.
I went out to falls lake this weekend with some tube jigs and minnows. Saturday I went to a little hole off Boyce mill rd, Sunday to the pier at beaverdam. Only bite was a little 8" cat over by Boyce mill. Haven't been out to michie yet, but it seems the bridge might be a good spot.
If anyone's going out and wouldn't mind a newb's company, definitely pm me.
Thanks again everyone!

Thanks very much. I checked out old weaver rd area. Were you talking about the little boat access where the road floods? I heard the spillway was a good spot, but I can't seem to figure out where that is. I went back to the pier at beaver dam. I think I need to come up with a more systematic way of moving around the banks, as well as measuring the depth of the water.
Does anyone know anything about places to fish around Granville or Person counties?
