With the nice weather forecast for Saturday afternoon (3/1/14) after the chance of icy weather first thing we decided to hit Jordan Lake one more time for the winter bite. Got down to the lake and fishing about 2 or so and fished till about 6:30. Went through about 11 dozen minnows and caught 97 crappie on the clicker with 15 keepers. Has run 15-20% keepers for about 2 months now and Saturday was no different. Fished moved up to about 22' of water last week and that is where we found them again. Water temps were around 48 degrees and the wind was almost non-existent. Pretty steady bites with a couple of "lulls" and the temperature was very comfortable. Looking forward to the fish moving into the creeks and longlining for them in a few weeks through the spring. My buddy Jesse pulled his boat down too and caught a few as well.

Very nice Mike. Hope to see you out there this spring.
Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!
So, Mike, is it safe for the rest of us to visit Jordan for a week or so?
nice report
Nice report Mike... as usual. Looking forward to more reports from you and Zach as the weather improves.
