Question Any decent Boat Shops near Shelby/Kings Mountain???

Anyone know of a decent boat motor repair shop near Shelby/Kings Mountain?

I took the boat out to clear the cobwebs and it's having some intermittent issues when shifting in and out of neutral. Forward or reverse act the same. It's like it's not shifting, it's stuck in neutral. I have to shift in and out of neutral a few times for it to go. It only did it a couple times but I want to get it fixed before it gets any worse. When it happened I looked back and could see the forward<>Reverse arm moving so I don't think it's my control box or cables. Anyhoo, I don't know the area well enough yet to know who's good and who's going to try and sell me muffler bearings so any recommendations would be appreciated.

McCraken's Marine in Shelby is the only place I know of. They seem to be good honest people with a wealth of knowledge. Before you take it to a shop, change the foot oil. If it gets a little water in it, it won't shift right. If you're not familiar with changing the foot oil, it's really simple and we'd all be glad to help you with that.
