I'm pondering ideas for making myself a vertical tube-style rod holder for transporting my long rods while going down the lake. I have the Driftmaster tip saver holder that I use for transporting the rods to and from the lake, but looking for something to slip the rods into while running the lake to a different spot. Putting them back ing the Driftmaster is just time consuming. My idea was to use PVC being its light weight and relatively inexpensive. Looking at 12-16 tubes, maybe. Plan is to mount on my trolling rack in some fashion(Which I plan to reinforce just out of precaution and extra sturdiness). Wanted to see if anyone had something similar that they can share some pictures. Thanks!
