    Default Badin

Well loading up to fight the mud and trash I guess. Haven't been in 3 weeks due to the rain. We have been washed out here at The Rock for weeks now. Finally see the SUN!! I guess thats what it is called. I would go to the Rock but I know that mud hole is bad news. Wish me luck. I will post pics if I catch any.... Thats prolly a big IF.

I feel your pain. We were out there on Badin today. It was windy!!! Only caught 5 crappie. They are so scattered. I think our next trip is gonna be back to our home lake, Tuckertown.

Well against my best judgment I ended up on The Rock. No problems with the water. Main channel has a slight ding to it but most coves and creeks were clean and pretty clear that I was in. I was down river in Abb. Crk, Flat Swamp, and the dam area. Caught 2 nice cats and a ton of bluegill for bait. No pics due to my phone dying searching for signal, I forgot to put it on airplane mode. Oh yeah second creek was a little dingy in color but still ok to fish.

Well FishHound time restraints got me. I had some issues getting all my stuff together and waiting on my fishing partner that backed out after he was on the way for 2 hrs. But all in all a good trip and was surprised at the water and how good it looked and cleared up. Prolly going back this coming Friday Night.

How were you catching the bream? I have taken my kids to a buddy's pier on Abbotts Creek twice in the last two weeks. We caught one small cat the first time and two small crappie the second time. Fished with worms both times.

CAPTNDAVIE I am catching big bluegill on the bank and at docks with a fly and a cork. I just put the cork about 12" from the fly and slowly reel. Haven't done to much with worms yet but the time is nearing when I will switch to worms for bluegill.
