? About water temp

Looking for an opinion or two, there is a local watershed here n the foothills that my son and i stumbled into a few crappie last summer. Went Saturday afternoon for first time this yr. Water temp was only 62, do you all think the crappie would have spawned yet? Which methods would u recommend longline or spider rig, finally got the boat set for both, hoping to try it out there n practice without a big audience as to not give yall something to laugh at too hard! Its fed by an awfully cold creek and pretty deep so not sure if it was warmer earlier this year and cooled off .... any suggestion would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

When fishing some of the colder ponds down east I have always had good luck with a combination bait trolled or moved gently along through any markings on the graph. If I am not marking fish I will go closer to the banks and fish as close as I can without getting hung up... in about 3-7 ft of water.

My favorite combination bait for small to medium sized ponds is a 1/16oz Zeta Jig in a chartreuse body and head color with red flakes. Tipped with a very small minnow. Fished about 18" under a swivel and 1/8 oz. bullet weight. Tight lined on my 12' B&M with 6lb. florocarbon. At whatever water depth that you are marking fish, or anything that looks fishy.
