Default Hyco on a cols Saturday...

Dang it was cold out there ! Thought I would venture out and maybe find a few fish schooled up somewhere down lake in the warmer cleaner water. Never happened. Checked my best structure from the bridge to wards the dam and only found some smaller bass. Headed back down to the bridge where the crappie and white bass were stacked up and being caught steady by the bank anglers. The mud line stopped at the bridge water temp was 55* there. From the bridge heading to the upper end 1/4 mile the temp dropped 10* and got increasingly muddy. Not a crappie in sight. After 3.5 hours of this I was cold to the bone. Tried to touch my thumb to little finger and was very difficult...first signs of hypothermia. Got off the water and warmed up in the bathroom. Big ole skunk on the crappies. Only a cpouple of boats out....pleanty of room to fish..LOL. FB

Well I sure do feel beter. I was there to from 7:00 to 2:00 and put one crappie in the boat and pulled to off the hook. I fished all over the lake and could not find any large schools either. When I went under the bridge my unit was covered with white bass and I too saw the bank guys wearing them out.

PM me sometime if you want to go together.
