That was the question that I kept asking myself many times out on Hky Sat nite!!! At first the lightning was staying above and in the clouds. Then off in the distance I could hear that deep rumble of thunder, and the flashes of sky to ground lighting. Hum, I wondered which way it was coming and, which way it would go? Well it was not to long after that my question be came a little clearer, I think it may be coming toward me, just like the idiot in a big wake maker was earlier. Yep, close enough that I gave him A REAL peace of my mind and a few couple choice words to go along with it!!!!So the I scrambled to get all the rods, anchors, and markers up, and made a beeee line for the landing. Got back loaded up, and headed for home, back at 11:30 pm. Well sat up and watched a little tv and saw that most of the storms had died out. That is when I thought I should have stayed, but being in a metal boat with all kinds of metal sticking up out of it and lighting coming down aroud you, was probly the better choice.Thumbs Up There is always another day to fish, and dodge all the idiots. Till next time tight lines and TRY to stay cool in all this heat!!!

Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners

Probably a good choice.
I PRACTICE CATCH & FRY---WHEN I CAN FISH AND CATCH:D
I believe you made the right choice also! I was at Lowes hardware in lenoir a couple weeks ago. It was just a
little cloudy no lightning and no thunder. All of a sudden it sounded like a bomb went off. Lightning had struck
the grassy area in the back right corner and started a fire. It never rained or thundered again the rest of the
day.
Early to bed…early to rise…fish all day…make up lies.
Never play with lightning, you'll only lose.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
Definitely a good choice. Storms at night are tough to figure out distance and direction.
You made the right choice. Metal or fiberglass...I aint setting thru a lightning storm.
Good choice. I left James Saturday night about 10:30 because of the lightning.
RUST NEVER SLEEPS
