My son and I gave Hky a shot again last nite, the bite was still a little slow. Tried to set up on a new spot, but 2 butthead ski boats just had to see if they could wash us off, and they did! So I gave them a finger and said take this with ya where ever ya in such a hurry to get to! After everything settled down and got back to fishing, we picked up a mixed bag of fish, 4 nice crappie, biggest one 1lb, 4 cat fish, biggest on 5lbs. Caught him on a 9ft ultra lite, what a fight! Did start to see some shad and minnows starting to gather under the lites,so should not be to much longer for the nite bit starts to pick up. Gotta work tomorrow morn, may get to get to go for a little while tonite, will let ya know how we do. Water temp around 70 deg, fish were around 12ft deep.
