    Default Hatteras quickie.

Yesterday caught 18 flounder and only 2 were big enough. Today caught 22 flounder and only 1 big was enough, also added a puffer to the box. Water has been clean, green and 65-69 degrees. Raining every day.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

If they're catching them here they are all tight lipped about it.

trust me its happening!! id say crack the inlet, head a bit south and look for dolphins, turtles or schools of bait. a brown bomber or 6 will be near by!!! i dont know if this Low pressure will help or hurt, but its easier when its flat calm.

Fished Hatteras all last week....not much happening. Few big bluefish, and short flounder was the story up and down the beaches.

Love flounder fishing, great report! As for the cobia, from what I've seen and heard the cobia action has been hit or miss, in my opinion resulting from changing weather patterns. When the winds blow north the bait and fish are off the beach a bit and for the most part has been too rough to see anything in the water without a nice tower. When the weather turns to the south the bait comes back in, but yet still it's been too rough around where we fish to see anything. My family and myself have been 80 miles or so without seeing the first pod of menhaden in the last week. Not saying the bait isn't there, just saying it isn't close to shore and thick as it has been in the last couple years. I remember last year wearing shorts and a t shirt while fishing at this time and this year we're having to wear coats until noon. The cobia bug is obviously catching on as well, and the number of unexperienced boaters are making for plenty of entertainment while waiting for another ray.
