Hi folks, I got my NY fishing license to chase brook trout, but I'm really more interested in finding crappie this year. It's a bit of a drive for me to get there from Burlington, across the bridge at Crown Point. Driving around trying ponds at random gets expensive, but man do all those lakes look inviting for a canoe fisherman.

If anyone would be willing to share some lakes and ponds to try for crappie (via PM please) I would be grateful. I promise not to fish it out-- I don't take more than supper for me and my girlfriend. We're small people, so that means about 6 or 7 fish . I fish in a canoe with no motor or fish-finder, so i couldn't take all the fish if I wanted to.
