Outlaw Vs/ Ozark Rod

Ozark!!!

I have used Quantum rods for the past 4 yrs & for me its the best for all around rod. But I did buy a 11 ft Ozark rod this sping & it has a great feal for lite bites. The Ozark rod is lighter than the Q rod but it dosent have any back bone to it when your just swinging in fish. The advantage of the Q rod is you can swing in 1.8 lbs crappie because I have seen Sue do it. The other advantage of swinging fish & not realing them up & in is you can go back to the same depth of water that your catching you fish in with out wondering if your at the correct depth. For the experts that can go back to the same depth with any rod. I havent used a Outlaw yet . The Q rods are $85.00 - $100.00. Also they float if you have the correct real on the rod.

Mine are the "small eye" models, Jared. Both are 11 footers. 1 has the rear reel seat, which I love. The other is a standard reel seat. I'm gonna get me another rear reel seater in the near future.

The ones I have are the big ones. That is why I saw so much differance in it compared to the Outlaws. I was going to switch to the Outlaws until I held the Ozark with the smaller eyes on it. I still think they are both quality rods. But would rather give my money to Tony. Certainly after him donating to our fundraiser for Jeff.

Good point Jared. Don't forget that J.R. Oldham also donated Outlaws for the auction. Its really a matter of personal preferance. Both have great qualities. You can't go wrong with either. Its like the old Chevy vs Ford debate.

You are right Chris. The old Ford vs Chevy. Did not know JR. donated also. Have talked to him on several occasions also. Super nice guy that knows his stuff on Stockton. Would like to hire him for a walleye trip sometime.
