Mac and I plus the wives will be there! staying at the lodge.
Hopefully this year won't have to swim to get to lodge and the boat!
Glad Mac is gonna make it.
Did I miss the dates?
First weekend in May,sorry
Spring camp list
The old list had a lot of items that not at camp so I have attempted to make a new list. Actually three lists Friday-Saturday and general. Feel free to add to this lis as I am sure I have missed some items.
I don’t know how large of a post I can send or how long my thumbs will hold out so be patient.

Top link is corps of engineers, most of us are in loop A.
bottom link is at the top of the hill nice full hookup rv sites, hotel/lodge, cabins, floating villas, and "sleeping rooms" on the docks. Good people, good restaurant. Busy busy busy boat ramp shared by both links.
Tried reserving the campsite I use every year for camp but couldn't find it on the list of sites??:scratchhead
I went through the campground after I was done fishing and A45 has been removed!! Maybe they are trying to tell me something??
I reserved A65 Monday thru Sunday down by the water so I will be the first to be kicked out when the water comes up. White Flag Icon
Top it all off I missed out on a shirt. Oh well. :biggrin
Wow ruined a camp spot?
You've camped in that same spot for a number of years now. Maybe the EPA has declared that site as hazardous ..:dono
Got my dad to join up. He'll be joining us at spring camp. You'll see him on here as FiletAndRelease
Looking forward to meeting all the new People and many old friends !
Hey All,
Unfortunately I can't make it now. My Aunt is having a surprise 70th birthday party for my another Aunt. Really going to miss meeting you all. I'll try again next year.
I drove through the campground yesterday. USACE has done a great job repairing all the sites. Looks like we'll all have plenty of clean gravel and nice new picnic tables. But they have closed a ton of sites. Many other campgrounds dont look like they'll ever reopen, makes me sad, doesnt ever seem to be enough.

Just got a refund for my reservation for spring camp. Maybe next year???? :banghead
That sucks. You would think it would be better to get people outside and air off some stink with some good old fresh air!!! In the mean time, stay safe, stay clean and shoot every one of those dang zombies you see!!!!!:hatchet:
Well looks like a tent on a bank somewhere.
Talk to Bucksaw and he said they have no plans to close ramp as of now but said if you call and he answers the phone they are open for business.
Heat, snow, floods, Tornadoes and now the corona!
Yep. I got mine. Govmt. knee jerk China OMG virus reaction.
Wonder if the State Park will be open???
What's this? just came on here and confused. So is bucksaw resort closing? we cancelling event? What a bunch of Hooey! This is so over blown as to be ridiculous. So few cases and mostly mild cold like symptoms and this is outdoors and over a month away? I've not received nor will i ask for refund. what does being in your own camper or tent out in areas with lots of spacing in between have to do with some outbreak of the Zombie apocalypse?
Heck my daughter in law is LA Doctor with largest group in state and she is geriatric specialist and have very very few cases, no deaths and overall with 24MM folks in county statistically very minor incidents of the severe strain. with the huge homeless camps everywhere there and so many hundreds of thousands of illegals all with poor hygiene she is surprised they arn't over run with cases but are not. Plus HUGE population of chinese, koreans, vietnamese SE asians of all kinds who traveled back and forth in big numbers before travel ban and plenty of time to show symptoms and tiny number of cases? they should be ground zero for this plague and is a nothing burger so far.
Hey hogster I will camp on the banks of Truman. That's real camping anyway.
We'll our reservations were at the USACE campground, no the resort. Tomorrow I'm going to see if I can get a spot up the hill at the private(not gov) resort.
Got 2 spots at the resort and 2 slips reserved. The said they have a bunch more sites available.
could we do like couple years ago when camp was flooded out and stay at that place? sounds like bucksaw is staying open. going to call them to see if rooms still going to be available or heck just remembered our best couple friend have a incredible lake house few miles away. let us know.
I think you all know what Sheryl and I think about spring camp. It’s one of the highlights of our year. That being said, this thing scares the crap out of me. I have been a pharmacist for 40 years and love it to this day, but I question myself every day about going in to work. There are a lot of folks out there that don’t get the whole social distancing thing. I’m a hugger and it kills me to not be who I am. Sorry to say we will be there at the next one but not this spring. Maybe we can reevaluate in a couple of months but for not we’re homebody’s.
Bye the way Truman is 9 feet high and rising.

It's always great to see old friends and meet some new ones at camp. With that being said it's not the end of the world if we replan it in the fall or just another date later this year to keep us all safe and healthy.
We can fish through this just not gather in large groups. So if ya see me on the water stop and say hi and I will do the same.
