Thanks armyman. You all are the best. I thought about calling Yikess. He's only about 30 minutes away as well but he would make fun of me the next tournament we fish.

Sorry to hear that Speck.. Maybe you can but don't think you can access that blead plug from in the boat. Shallow as the lake is you might have been able to wade around and get to it. Yikes shouldn't rib you to much with all them pictures of him standing in Sardis surrounded by Pelicans.
Is there not a pressure release screw in the side of the T/T unit that you could have put a screwdriver in and release the motor back down ??
I had my T/T relays go out, and the motor was trimmed up too high to get it in a 10x20 storage shed. I forgot all about the release screw, and didn't remember it until I was looking online for instructions for checking/changing relays. :banghead
BTW .... most of those release screws are in the side bracket of the big motor's mount. There's a hole in the mount (mine is on driver's side - Merc 90 ... but I don't think all brands have the hole on that side :dono )
I think its on the left side on My Yamaha....I believe you could lay down on the deck and reach it.
Crappy Pappy and G, you guys ROCK!!!! I just checked my boat. Sure enough, there is a pressure relief screw recessed in the left side of the mount. I never noticed it before. Thank You for your help.
Helps to have two people to get a 75HP motor or bigger back up when you put the motor on the trailer. Hard to lift and tighten that screw down by oneself.
Iffn' that happens again to me, I know not to drop it all the way down.
Sorry to hear you had a problem but on the good side it's a good thing the motor was up. Because you would have had a problem loading it on the trailer with the motor down. Should be an easy fix.
glad it all worked out, I would have come got you, heck 7 hour drive not a problem I still got some 50s i ain't spent down there
