    Default SI Deal

I have been looking to upgrade my electronics this winter and with the Helix series coming out the "older" units are going on sale! I was looking at Cabela's online tonight and they have a 899 for 599.99...SOLD. This one will support future upgrades unlike the Helix in the same price range. Big upgrade from my old 570DI (that still works!), can't wait to get this on the water.

You'll be looking at the SI more then fishing , at least I was (do) ,the problem is screen clutter, I get carried away marking way points I want to fish!

A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it

I got one on clearance at Bass Pro over Christmas. I have had it out once and it appears to work really well. You're going like it!!!!!!

You're right JR, first time out with it I probably won't even get the rods out of the box because I will be to busy playing with my new toy. Anybody recommend a map card, I know it comes with some already loaded but was wondering if this would make it any better, and remember I can't afford whatever Joedog is running on his. That was a nice pic!

Unless there has been some change, H'birds only come with a rough outline of a lake....very few points/coves. I can't speak for Navionics, but the Lakemaster chip seems to be pretty well detailed, with 1' contour lines
