Default A different kind of deer season

Just closed up the camper loaded up the 4 wheelers and brought everything home from camp. I can't say it was a bad season but my heart wasn't really in the hunt. We lost Steve early this month to a sudden illness. We have camped and hunted together every season since 1989. We still went because as the wives said "it's who we are.
Evening campfires just were not the same. Spent a lot time in camp just talking with friends and healing from the loss.
Rest in peace Steve. You were a good hunter and a better friend. We will still go to camp but it will never be the same.
God bless Charlie Brewer and Bobby Garland.

Amen, It's hard when you loose good friend, even worse when they are your fishing or hunting partner. Lost one of my good friend just last month.

Jeff I feel for you, lost my good friend and buddy a few years ago now. Still miss him greatly and do so miss him on our outings. It does get some easier but cannot tell you how often I think of him and miss him so.
