    Default Apple pie season

Went to the orchard today to buy apples. Next weekend we will be making fresh apple cobblers for the apple festival benefiting the Missouri Baptist boys home. Figured while we were there we would get an extra bushel and put some fresh pies in the freezer for next year. Stopped at the store for some pie crusts and aluminum pans and put 6 fresh pies in the freezer ready for the oven. May need one more session to last the year. Wished I had taken the time to buy some fresh peaches this spring.
God bless Charlie Brewer and Bobby Garland.

Nice, we raise about 15 varieties, I always like to see what others like.

We're fixin' to cook 30 gallons of REAL apple butter Oct. 2-3 over an open fire in a copper kettle. The way my grandparents did it on their farm each fall.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

Yum to all of it. Home made apple butter is the best. I have taken applesauce and put it in a pan added the spices and cooked it in the oven. Tastes pretty good.

It is, 10 bushels. But we have relatives and friends who help.
Feed them venison chili and hot dogs to keep them going.
JigfisherX allowed as he might come by and perhaps cook a cobbler.
