Thirty years of boat and utility trailers and never had this problem. Wheeled into Camp Branch, circled around to launch and CLUNK, looked back in the mirror and saw my tire laying on the ramp, crap! Bearings failed, hub came off with wheel. I usually stay on these pretty good just for this reason. Brought hub into work and cleaned it up, I think it should be alright, still need to clean and check spindle, at least it didn't land on the spindle. So I just ate my sammich and drank a bottle of water ( beer when I got home ) and waited on the wrecker, hats off to GT Tow, he showed up in about 20 min loaded it and dropped it in my garage.
