    Been thinking about one of the Helix series from HB to put on the pontoon anyone have any on the water time with one?

    never seen one except on display...it took best in show for electronics at ICAST

    Richard, you might post your question on the electronics forum. What I have heard has been pretty good if you want a stand alone unit.

    Thanks Jeff. I checked there and read the posts just looking for someone in our waters who may have one. The electronics on the pontoon will be just to get on known structure. Most of my searching will be done out of my other boat it looks like the reviews on it are good.

    Great units if you don't plan on networking. They have 90-95% of the capabilities that the 800, 900, and 1100 series have, just in a small picture with a bit less detail. I've run both the SI unit and DI GPS unit and was very happy with them. The Helix 7's should start shipping in the next few months if you need a little bit bigger screen.
