I tried calling Mountain Gear Surplus a few times this morning and got a busy signal every time. I will try and call them again later.
I sent them an email with some questions about shipping time and costs as well as some other questions.
Will advise you all of the response.

OK I was contacted by Mountain Gear Surplus a few minutes ago so here is the info.
Used MGPT System 18 x 36 OD Green color. Complete tent assembly with sides $1210.00
Cost of shipping was quoted as $261.47 to Clinton Mo. to somewhere that has a fork lift available. No forklift will cost more, but forgot to ask how much more. :banghead
Total cost By my math would be $1471.47
This tent top has 2 end section and 1 middle section. It can be set up as 18' x 18' or 18' x 36'.
It comes with all the poles, stakes, and ropes. I think this tent also has some windows in it. Screens?
They inspect each tent before it is shipped out for tears holes broken zippers etc. This requires about 7 to 10 days.
These are newer models of tents that are more durable than the ones from years ago.
It is a heavy vinyl material and has folding poles.
The complete tent weighs approximately 600 lbs.
Instructions are on the tent.
Can be put up by 3 people but recommend 4 people.
Here is the link to the page with some pics.
MGPTS, Modular General Purpose Tent System
I think we should get some opinions on this tent or the other one ASAP so it can be ordered to have as much ship time as possible.
You can pm me if you like. I will send my phone # if requested.
Thanks

I like that one dfar!!! But I'm good with what everyone else decides.

MGPT system looks like the deal. What say others????

I'm in. We can shake the basket Friday and Saturday evening if we need to. Not a lot of time left. I'll be early and leave days later and can help some. Sign up a boat load to help with setup and take down Jared then you know you'll have enough help.

I agree, place the order and pick a time for set up. I can be there if I know the time.

If it were me, I'd lean more toward Green Wing's suggestion. Even though it's 600 square feet (as opposed to 648sf) and wouldn't include sides, I think it provides a better atmosphere. That MGPT tent looks dark even in broad daylight.
In other news, a 600sqft Big T tent (used) costs just under $1400 ($1200+$90 for center poles...outside poles and stakes included....plus tax) whereas brand new would be ~$1550. Compare to $1471.47 for used 648sqft WITH sides.
I'd go used for $1400, get them to set it up for free this year, and take donations for sides for next year.
But....like everyone else, I 100% support the majority and will help in any way I can. I'll just appreciate being out of the rain/wind.
Or I'll just go park it in the shower house. Whichever.

JoeDog I do like your idea of having them set it up the first time. Them of we had a few guys there to assist and watch how it's done or would make it easier to take down this time and to put up at fall camp. Maybe for the $1500 we have they would come set it up for us.

I like what we had last year over those dark tents.

I agree with Joedog. A classy outfit like this has an image to live up to.
