Outboard Mechanic?

My buddy has a late 80's early 90's 25 hp Mercury that he needs worked on. Anyone know someone who works on motors part time? He's trying not to take it to a dealer and spend $100 per hour.

Whats wrong with it, is it just carb work or internal engine problems?

I really don't know his father in law gave it to him and it doesn't run right now but used to. The lower unit needs to be put back together that I do know

There is a place down this way Garys Outboard repair. It is outside of Flat on hwy m. Good mech honest and reasonable prices. He used to work for Aarons Boat and Motors in Rolla prior to them going out of business. Now just works out of his own shop.
