Kind of loud on the Osage when two A10 thunderbolts come flying below radar following the river course. Of course didn't have camera along.

Time they were on ya you mostly likely didn't have time to get a camera ready anyway, they used to do that on Grenada sometimes but haven't seen it in a long time.

We saw them last year also. Had to look up plane because I didn't know what they were. Was sure they came from Whitman. Also saw them go back but they were just going straight then. It was cool to see them come around the bend and follow river.

They flew so close to my deer stand last fall you could see the robots on the side. So much for deer hunting. Still pretty cool though.

They fly so low over Toledo Bend sometimes, I think they are marking brush tops.

We have Shaw AFB and McIntyre ANG just a few miles from the upper Santee Cooper lake where I fish. They have the F16s and are getting the new F somethings. Those bad boys are so fast they are gone before you hear the deafening roar and then the whole swamp shakes and scares the BeJesus our of you.

I'd love to watch the reaction of some taliban clown when a warthog swoops down at him. Probably have to change his shorts if he lives thru it.

Unfortunately our wonderful Government is trying to decommission them without a viable replacement in place
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
