    Default Metal coat hangers

Does anybody know of a good use for metal coat hangers? We use the plastic ones. I have a 50 lb feed sack full. Just wondering before I set them out for the trash pick up.

Man if someone comes up with a use for them I have an unlimited supply of them from my uniforms.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

They work great for witching water lines. But would take many years to go through that many.

I use coat hangers like some guys use brass rod to catch crappie. I cut the straight piece out of the hanger, peen both ends flat, drill a small hole in each flat and fix a small snap and gold hook to one end and a snap ring to the other end to tie my line to. I think this is what some refer to as a Kentucky rig. What ever it's called, it works great in heavy cover when fishing a minnow cause it eliminates any sideways movement from the minnow.

Google search "uses for wire hangers" brings up some interesting ideas.

Sometimes handy when you lock your keys in the truck.
