finding shad at Truman

Where is a good place to look for shad at Truman around the dam area? I am wanting to learn how to catch some hybrids using them..I have built a shad tank and need to test it out. Thanks for the help..

below the dam, around drake harbor can be a good area, also around private boat docks. up in truman lake, I hear folks like to look around wind blown points, coves and banks in the day time. night time you can find them around the marinas or go on a flat and shine a spotlight across the water and they will start flipping out, literally. good luck!
