Does anybody have an old (80's) rod by Shimano? The rod is called Aero Magnumlite graphite. Model number AMG 6-0 or AMG 6-6. It is easy to recognize. Two piece rod with a short butt section and cork handle with rings. The butt is very thick with a very fast taper. All the guides are single foot and on the tip section.
