Sooo, anybody have any ideas yet as to a date for camp? with these colder tepms we are seeing do you guys think it might delay the major push of the spawn a week or three? in my experience the normal best weekend is around the first of may but two years ago when we had the late winter, I was still catching spawning fish on memorial day weekend... I am usually there on memorial day weekend anyhow but I would think the major push to the banks would be a few weeks before that. I'm still game for either (or both) a spring camp or an early summer camp but either way or both, we need to some ideas out there.

    Greg,

I'm still holding strong on the week of May 12th - 16th..... It'll be happening somewhere on the lake at that time (barring a 10 ft rise). Better yet, there will be a lot of prespawn fishing which sets up well for riggin.

On a positive note, I've been surrounded by open water all of this week..... Negative side, I'm in Italy with no fishin pole!

well, that would be the weekend of the 17th then and my wife will be off work so that works well with me. I wouldn't be able to be there the whole week but maybe I could show up on thursday morning sometime or late thursday afternoon. does this date suit the rest of ya who want to attend? we need to get this set in stone so we can make reservations, seems like the campgrounds and rooms get booked pretty quick around early may! I'd still be up for suggestions on a summer camp, as well. I didn't get to fish twain much last year with the crappy fishing and all, so I plan on camping out a few weekends this year!

Yeah, that sounds fine to me. I'll probably stay for most of the week and enjoy a little fishing, little camp firing and what ever else comes along. With all the snow days Andrew might be in school all summer

You all come up with something and if I can get the king of other than targetted species to agree we should be there. I might even remember to bring chairs.

don't worry about the chairs, I'll just steal Cschott's chairs again! is the state park campground good for ya'all again? I personally prefer to camp there because it's located closer to my favorite areas...

State Park is fine with me Greg. Richard if the fishing is as bad as last year we might need that non-target fishing King to show us a thing or two.

    Positive thoughts boys, positive thoughts!

Ya'll camp where you need! I'll be about a 10 minute drive from ya should you decide on the State Park.

I imagine that South Point camping is where we will be, as long as things work out to go.
