Sure liked this, found it on someones facebook.........
There once was a man that was obsessed with hunting and fishing. So much so that he dreaded taking anybody with him as it interfered with his own determination to catch or kill the most and the biggest. Kids were a pain, always tangled up, always losing gear, can't sit still, wanting to throw rocks, wanting to eat. Grownups weren't much better, always going on about their family life, how good or bad their kids were doing in school, work, previous hunting or fishing trips that HE wasn't even involved in. The list went on. His one greatest wish was to just be left to his own devices and not have to bother with others so he could concentrate on catching big fish and killing big deer.
When the man died, he was met at the gates by an angel who explained to him that when he went thru, he was entitled to fish and hunt for as far as he could see, for eternity.
He walked thru the gates to a fantastic view of nothing but beautiful forest dotted with lakes and ponds and a cabin that was stocked with fishing and hunting equipment.
The next morning he woke up bright and early, loaded up on fishing equipment and went to the first lake. His first cast produced a 25 lb bass. Ecstatic over his new found fishing spot, he cast again. This time...yet another 25 lb bass! For hours he fished, each time the huge fish couldn't wait to bite his hook. "Oh man if my friends could see me now!" he thought. He walked thru the woods to the next body of water. Once again, each time he threw his bait in the water, each time another huge fish. At dark he walked back to the cabin, smug with himself that he at last he had found what made him happy.
After a great nights sleep, he woke to another perfect morning and decided it was time to hunt. Rifle in hand he eased thru the woods. Almost immediately a 16 point buck walked thru a clearing and stopped. He took the shot and the buck fell. The angel showed up...."Ill take care of that for you...you keep hunting." Gladly the man kept moving thru the woods. 100 yds farther on, another huge 16 point buck steps out of the tree line. BANG! Another one down. Another angel shows up to take care of the deer and he's off again........
To make a long story short...this went on for days. Each day huge fish after huge fish, huge deer after huge deer..all to himself!
Finally he got kinda bored and called out for the angel. When he appeared the man stated....."I hate to complain but everyday its the same thing, big fish, big deer, not much of a challenge and the excitement is kinda drying up...and nobody to brag too. Doesn't anybody else fish or hunt here? I mean, I knew Heaven was going to be great but this really isn't that great at all when you think about it?"
The angel said "Who said this was heaven?"
So just remember, without bad times there can't be any good times. If it's always great...then it isn't great at all. Can't be elation if there hasn't been disappointment. And some of the best memories you can have are when things went terribly wrong...and you survived it! And do it with a friend or a relative, especially a kid. Because when you get old and can't remember how great or terrible it was, they always remember...every last detail.

Amen , we need to share the experience with others . I'm just as happy for a friend to catch a big fish or shoot a big deer as myself .
SO TRUE! Thanks for the share!
