truck tires

Trying to find decent truck tires is a real PAIN. They want to sell you these stupid off brand things that I have never heard off. We have Uniroyal Liberators on both trucks and they have been good tires. Been on for 5 years. Need new tires for both and they don't make the liberators any more. Figures they were good tires. Called around for tires and most places have these off brand things. GRRRRR this is frustrating. Need GOOD tires for the GMC 4X4 since that is what husband drives to work now. The other truck can be less expensive since we are fixing it up and giving it to our son and daughter in law for a back up vehicle.

I never found that FINDING good tires to be a problem.
Go to Purcell Tire or whatever your Goodyear dealer is there ( or whatever brand you like ), and say "I need this size, bring me a 10-ply of the best tire you got in this dump"

Depends on what your willing to spend. Good tires does not equal $, good tires equal $$$. I got talked into a lower tier tire the last time before this new set on the car. 55k mile tire that was so noisy at 40k I bought new ones, this time I bought the ones the short life/low mile, noisy tires replaced at 40% more, but I got almost 58k miles out of them the first time. That car has over 314k miles on it now, these might be the last set we put on it.

I am with you I bought a cheap set 6 mo ago, had lots of problems, went back to the shop 4 times, the manager said that is to much problems for our tires, they took them off put on a new set of Firestone No charge none, walmart

change firestone to goodyear, I was thinking wrong.

I have Bridgestone Deuler AT's on our Tahoe and our F150. Had Firestone Destinations on a two wheel drive Chevy 1500 that we recently got rid of. I rotate them every other oil change (every 10000 miles). I get 60000-70000 miles out of these tires. They aren't the cheapest or most expensive, but they have been great tires for us.

I got burn't trying to save a few hundred on a set of truck tires....Never again....had no problems other than can't get the mileage out of the cheaper ones....I am going back to Goodyear from now on

I'm running Dueller AT's on the truck now. Been through six sets of Firestone/Bridgestone tires with no issues other than going down one tier that one time.

Not recommending anything. But we sell all brands and lots of them. Its like a Ford vs Chevy thing. But our best lasting and best tire to balance hands down is the Wild Country tire by Mile Marker tire company. I run them and they are a great tire. I wouldn't own a GY truck tire and a Bridgestone wont stay balanced from wear problems. Yokohama is a good tire but pricey. Firestone Destination are also good.
No matter what tire you choose have them Roadforce balanced.
